Busy busy... good grief busy.....

So, Monday was Yorkton. Things for James before we left for the city. Tuesday was Regina... good grief a lot of driving but, done. Wednesday we went to Moose Jaw. Our girl... LOVED the toy train track display. She found the real ones a little intimidating. Not a bad thing to have a bit o good old fashioned fear/respect for large vessels!! But she did love that small display.....

 We headed to the lake Friday night.... Gwyn enjoys camping.. and Grandma and Grandpa had a pool for her to play in... and she didn't like it, one bit! LOL

 With all the extra hands around I got some stitching time in :) So, some wash cloths, and a fishy hat finished up.

 Grandma and Grandpa got Gwyn a nice wagon. She has been enjoying it too!!!

Eyeball Hat??

 

Yes, I realize, an eyeball hat is a little odd. Gwyn however has a little crochet circle on a string we call her eyeball, and you see it in the picture above. She has tied that thing, ran with that thing everywhere.. it is grey when it was white. So, I made her an eyeball hat. I think it turned out well.. except I should not have been so lazy, I should have knit a few more rounds of white... to make the hat deeper.. but for the 5 minutes of attention it got.. oh well. May try again. IN my CRAZY brain I have a bloodshot eyeball hat forming up for a certain BIL. lol Will keep ya posted....

Tails tucked, colours jogged. Looks pretty darn good no?

I carried the purple because I used so much. I staggered the colour starts so it looked even. Slipping the first stitch of each colour change on the second round of that colour. It worked out beautifully!

OK, I am making another fishy hat! What do you think? The purple looks kinda blue.. but it is a very nice purple and very fun!

 Prior to the hat... I was working at this......

90lbs of ground beef, picked up from butcher.

I didn't count... heads of cabbage waiting for prep to roll.

A finished pan of Cabbage rolls.

This year, I used 70lbs of beef.  A tonne of cabbage. A tonne of rice and onions. I ended up with 65 bags of cabbage rolls. Kept me busy for a few days..... :)
