To the powerful women.

Live your life in such a way that when your feet hit the floor in the morning,
Satan shudders & says...

'Oh shit...she's awake!!

Food for Thought

Explains why Saskatchewan has no Daylight Saving Time...

Wise Old Indian When told the reason for daylight saving time the old Indian said, "Only a white man would believe that you could cut a foot off the top of a blanket and sew it to the bottom of a blanket and have a longer blanket."

XXX RATED - IMAGES MAY BE DISTURBING TO SOME VIEWERS!!!!!

My Husband the mighty hunter!
Missed one of the two prairie chickens! This is a new way to hunt a chicken... hit it with the car and have it's head get stuck in your hood so you snap it's neck.

Luckily no damage to the vehicle... but the poor thing hung there a long time before we stopped and popped the hood to set the poor thing out. I tell ya... that chicken hanging there was making me feel a bit sick... at the same time we were laughing at the poor thing for the way it stuck to the car... odd.
I just think hubby had to one up our friend whom had hit a thumper the night before while we were out.... it was a thumper cuz it made a pretty darn good thump and broke our friends grill... ouch! Hubby got the chicken... no damage! All good.... I told him he wasn't allowed to hunt deer with my car!

Robins...

Well, as the pictures before... there is a nest on the chute of this bin... as you can see now.. there is the nest and the momma robin.... Momma robin did some chirping at me, so I made my pictures quick and painless..... just not to disturb her too much....

Hubby says there are 3 eggs in this nest.. though the picture only shows 2.. there may be more by now...as it seems to take a day er so between eggs.
This is the nest on the ducting.... see momma in there?
She was staying pretty good..... mind you I wasn't getting all that close.. I zoomed in good with the camera for these shots of her.
She did however take flight and I got closer to get a couple pics.

That's my birdie excitement.... will be neat when the babies are out!

Rockets and Roofs

Well, Here you go. As promised, better pictures of the rockets(aeration). This one below is the rocket moved out of the way after hubby figured where the duct had to sit. He then drew a rectangle on the cone so he would know where to cut the hole for the ducting. He started the cuts by drilling holes at the corners(very hard to turn corners when cutting).
Here he has one side cut.
Here the rocket is stood up and ready for the bolts that hold the feet and the ducting to be installed.
This is the outside ducting and the angle iron that supports it.
This is what the rocket looks like inside once it is completely installed.
This is what you see from the outside when the rocket is completely installed.
Here is a row of Hubby's hard work.....
The roof he didn't quite finish before we had to run home for a couple things....
Here is the beginning of a robin's nest under one of the hopper cones... should be neat to see if eggs appear.
Quite the handy work...
Ahh and here are the flowers my DH bought for me. They are beautiful. They are a few days old here and do show some of their age... but they are beautiful...
This one opened up beautifully! Love them! Love the Husband that gave them to me....
Well... that's about it. I hope you enjoyed the pictures.... Will catchya all again soon.....

Been a bit, sorry for the wait.....

Heyya's, Sorry it has been a bit. We got some bins built since last post I think. We have more cones together. Hubby put the cones together while I was in the city. Then the rockets... you can see them in front of the cones in this first pic and then there is a better one further down. Hubby put them together and distributed them too... Then after that we put them in the cones...Sorry no pics of that part. Below is a 6 foot rocket. It is aeration for the bin. I hope hubby will take a pic for me when it's installed.... then you can see.
Here's dad. Happy with his new leather hat. He also received some wool socks for his birthday which are I think already on his feet at this point. (only minutes after opening them! LOL) The hat looks good though.
We were out to the farm yesterday and along the way... birdies. This is a very small flock of them compared to what we have seen. When we were coming from Wadena. I looked over and told Hubby that farmer must be growing birds... because you couldn't see field for birds... there are a couple fields like that... better now than in the fall when it happens though... least now they are picking up the leftover seed from last year... in the fall they are eating swaths before the farmer gets them in... and that's maddening...... Not bad looking birds though.

Anyhow, We owe we owe so, back to work we go!

I forgot to tell you!

See this pic. I zoomed in my camera almost to the max to get it. There were 2 of them, but by the time I got zoomed enough for this shot... the other was in the trees already. I just caught this one, my next shot he/she is in the trees and I have an empty frame of trees and bush. Still wondering what your looking at? No, not a cow... it's a Moose. I had to zoom pretty good to figure it out... LOL

I took this picture while we were taking the others..... just forgot to show you... till now! LOL

Well off and running for another day... I will be in the city for a couple days.... then back to work.

Wow the temp is beautiful!! +9cel at 7am. The snow is fading fast around here... our backyard pool is growing too!!! (giant puddle that it is... least it is way down the back more to the alley and not right here by the house!!!)

Talk to you all soon!!!

Ahhh all the fun!!!

Well, I didn't take any work pictures while I was away... sorry all. But, Hubby and I went to an auction and bought a quarter of land.... These here are the pics..... There is the old barn on the land and an old grainery. The barn has to come down.. it's old and run down. The grainery we couldn't really open the door to peek into.

Hubby such a sweetie... he looks really funny above here... because he is tramping the snow down for me... so it's not so hard to walk through! Below he is just walking about....

Pictures of the landscape.

Above is a pic of the grass that is currently seeded on the quarter for hay...though that will be worked under for us to grow some organic crop.

Now down below are pics of Mom and Dad's home place and the snow that is left around there.

Still pics of the home place... if you look close at the pic above you can see the steam coming up because it's melting.

LOL, here are some pics I took playing around with the new little camera. Hubby got me this new HD camera for my birthday(he is a little early but I won't complain!) The camera takes beautiful pics... as you can see above and below! :)
Mom's Easter tulips! above and below is her Christmas cactus blooming at Easter time!

Mom's Easter flowers are above here... they are beautiful! And the close up pic turned out wonderful!
Well, that's all I have to tell you right now so, I am off and running!
