So, you have been waiting for pictures eh????

Well, Hello again... long time no see.... hmmm that doesn't really fit... long time no chatter... on my part or yours I guess is more likely. I have an excuse though.... we have been away working and have not had a good Internet connection to be able to post up some stuff here...... even chatter is a trying thing on the wee bit of Internet I've seen. So, today I will bombard you with pictures.... LOL I hope you enjoy them... Let me know! I mean really... talk to me... that's why I have it so anyone can leave a comment... REALLY! So, this little guy above... not so little really. I took a picture to find out it was a gopher. From where I was standing he looked like a stump sticking up... and I knew there were no stumps in this yard!!!

Below is the first 2 bins we got up, in Outlook. If you look close you can see an extra window in the 3rd ring. This farmer wanted to be able to see if the bin was just full enough to cover the rocket air inside. You see the next ring doesn't have a roof yet either....
Then hubby went and built the whole bunch of 15 foot diameter roofs. Then we got to work and built them. I have to admit.... we were faster some days than others. We would put up 2 one day, 1 the next, then have a beautiful cool day and put up 3!!!! yes 3! then the next day we did 1, because my body said that was enough! So, bins are going up in bouts and spurts. But the 15ft diameter bins are all up now. On to the 18's... when we head back tomorrow.
Above is 4 bins across the south side of the yard. Below is the bins that go along the west side of the yard. We did have them in a better line than that, and there is one hiding behind the other 2 that are pulled out. We had to pull those 2 out because they were very unstable in the line. So, pulled them out to level them out so that it would take more to take them over.

The North east corner. North being the sliver of hopper cones you can see.. on the left side of the picture. So, needless to say there is a damn good chunk of work to get done yet!
And here... the latest ultrasound pics.... very cool. Though I believe last times were much clearer on the the full baby body pics... but, I think baby was moving pretty good! Had a heart rate of 144.... so, it was up there...
Above is a full body but with a hand in front of the face.... the below one baby has both hand in front of the face I thinks.... Little boxer maybe? Or camera shy? :D
The next strip of 3 is really good... the top pic is the arm stretched out, the second is baby feet!!! so neat!, the bottom one is how baby is laying in the belly. Face down, you can see the spine really well. Baby is about 13oz. right now. And growing daily! :) I am getting excited... can you tell? Just a little maybe? :P

This was a really neat picnic table we saw at Dafoe. We wanted to go ask what they were asking for it but... the mosquito's were so bad I could roll down the window only long enough to take the pic... LOL Hubby went to look better but I was not getting out to get eaten alive!!! LOL

This is the first baby sweater I made. It's the rectangle pattern from the Better homes and gardens page. (Thank you Pauly) It turned out well.


And Last but not least.. remember those socks I told you about... The ones for my mom that were getting to be obscenely late for her birthday? I finished them.. they are in her hands now... so she can wear them on a chilly day or wait until fall when she will really need them! LOL I love the self striping yarn... it turned out beautiful!
Well that is about all that is exciting out there... at least for me.... I could ramble on more but... I will let you all absorb this first. How is that? LOL

Rockets and Roofs

Well, Here you go. As promised, better pictures of the rockets(aeration). This one below is the rocket moved out of the way after hubby figured where the duct had to sit. He then drew a rectangle on the cone so he would know where to cut the hole for the ducting. He started the cuts by drilling holes at the corners(very hard to turn corners when cutting).
Here he has one side cut.
Here the rocket is stood up and ready for the bolts that hold the feet and the ducting to be installed.

Ahh and here are the flowers my DH bought for me. They are beautiful. They are a few days old here and do show some of their age... but they are beautiful...
This one opened up beautifully! Love them! Love the Husband that gave them to me....

Been a bit, sorry for the wait.....

Heyya's, Sorry it has been a bit. We got some bins built since last post I think. We have more cones together. Hubby put the cones together while I was in the city. Then the rockets... you can see them in front of the cones in this first pic and then there is a better one further down. Hubby put them together and distributed them too... Then after that we put them in the cones...Sorry no pics of that part. Below is a 6 foot rocket. It is aeration for the bin. I hope hubby will take a pic for me when it's installed.... then you can see.
Here's dad. Happy with his new leather hat. He also received some wool socks for his birthday which are I think already on his feet at this point. (only minutes after opening them! LOL) The hat looks good though.
We were out to the farm yesterday and along the way... birdies. This is a very small flock of them compared to what we have seen. When we were coming from Wadena. I looked over and told Hubby that farmer must be growing birds... because you couldn't see field for birds... there are a couple fields like that... better now than in the fall when it happens though... least now they are picking up the leftover seed from last year... in the fall they are eating swaths before the farmer gets them in... and that's maddening...... Not bad looking birds though.

Anyhow, We owe we owe so, back to work we go!

Work and Socks again...

Hey all, On a quick stop home. Little earlier than expected but that's alright by me. Was not supposed to make a trip home until next week.... well. Kind of nice to see home and sleep in my own bed last night. Much as I am still tired I think from running around and from this cold that won't f-off. You know what I mean? I have this nasty cough... well... today... after cough medicine yesterday afternoon and Nyquil b4 bed.. the cough seems to have subsided a bit. Probably because I am rested and it's not running the roost! Anyways!!!! So, that is why I am a wee bit tired. Now...... Socks. I finished my 2 at a timer's. Love doing them that way... it is a bit of a challenge.. but I think because it was the first ever pair.... top down 2 at a times I had ever made that's why. But I love the system of doing the 2 at a time. You have a pair right quick! None of the one then the other stuff! Anyways, You will remember this first picture...
Heel turned! I made it! I also got the stitches picked up! Now for the home stretch!

Ahh, Progress. Yes we now have 3 bins down there, and one at the other end of the yard that are done! 4 down - 20 to go! And the weather has been beautiful... mind you today at home it is snowing... go figure!

Hopper Cone Legs and Angles as they come from the factory. See all that water? We trenched the yard one day(well sexy hubby did most of it) to make all the water run off. It worked pretty darn good too... that huge puddle is now a tiny little run. :)
Hopper Cones before we put the legs on, how they come from factory, stacked on top of their skids. 3 in each stack.. there is 2 stacks not in this pick (12 cones to build yet).
We had a tight and sticky situation the one day. See how this hopper bin is behind the tractor and crane? There isn't much room to move back! And see the Semi truck parked behind? I don't know which of the 2 was asked not to park there, or if they both were.. but he isn't supposed to be there, but he is out of the way.....
See this guy? We couldn't move the tractor.... Bin behind, semi in front. He did however come and move it quite promptly after the phone call to the company was made..... (we were planning on building a roof and a bin that day but were moving a little slow.... only got a roof done, so did not end up needing the tractor, but it was the principle of it.). He must be a hell of a driver to get the truck backed in that good though! Will give him credit there.

Bin sheets for roofs. You can see the bin packages there too(the sheets are hump up on the left, there is a pallet of doors on the right for flat bottom bins and in the middle in front of the trailers is a pallet with a door and old style tube ladders.)

Better Pic of the packages, you can see the top of the roof packages there too on the left of the pic.
Then we stand the sheets up and make rings like this one. I showed you this pic before but I figure now you can see... they come in the bundle above, hubby flips them, we pull out the roof ring ( 6 sheets you see standing bellow to make the roof) and bolt them in their ring. Then we put an angle on the top of the ring so we can bolt the roof sheets to the ring. And then the roof sheets get carried around the ring like pictured below. We then put up 4 sheets to hold the peak ring up...(will try to get you pics of that yet) and then we put up the roof sheets and finish the roof. This snow had all melted while we were there.. and we trenched the water out. Mind you after the last couple days... might be a bit more snow/water around. I hope our trenching still works, and drains the water out!
Rockets. This is 6ft, rocket type air. This is how it comes from the company. We have to put legs and ducts on and put them in cones.... I hope to get you some pics of that too.... :) Just in case you wanna see it! LOL
Well, I have dishes in the sink and should run off and do them.... ttyl
