From the Garden.....

Lots of lovely tomatoes.. that have yet to ripen(better to pick and have turn in the house than have them freeze). One nice size pail of beets. Going to make beet pickle and relish I think. 3 Pails of Carrots... I am certain we will be sharing some with family :)

Cabbage.. I was going to shred it today and I lost my get up and go after the chard.... Beautiful red potatoes.... ooh they are nice! And the tomatoes there behind are for My sis... my MIL sent them for me to take to the city for My sis.

Onions... oooh I forgot to put them out when the sun came around today.. dammit.. I meant for them to dry some... I guess we can hope for tomorrow!! And Pickling cucumbers... that will be relish within the next couple days!

My stack of collapsible crates! They are the best thing going!!! Specially if you don't have a lot of room but need to pack things around regularly. This year they helped with the garden and are great stacker's!!! (I normally would have 2 or 3 in the car for getting groceries.. rather than bagging). Chard... Had lots of leaves but didn't get much out of them when I finished processing them.. they cook down a lot.. can you believe 6 small freezer bags from this crate? Need to be home and pic it more often...

Eating Cucumbers and Zucchini. Not too many monster Zuchs this year.. but they are still a really good size!!! Need to bake some cake!!!

Last but not least... Spaghetti Squash. Yummy... We didn't manage any acorn squash but I think we planted it too late in the season... next year they are getting planted earlier! And the corn... was too long and spindly. It did not produce a good ear. The ear looked good and the corn on it nice but it did not ripen.. again planted too late in the season I think.. and too much time for the corn in the green house.
But, overall can not complain.. the garden will feed us well... oh wait.. is feeding us well!!!

Baby Stuff.... you didn't ask for it but your getting it... Just in case you wanna see...

Well, here is what I have bought for baby... for any of you out there whom are wondering. Those of you who don't care... carry on.. nothing good here! LOL This is the soft and snug, keep baby warm outside goodie we found. It's a size 3-6month and I think it may be a wee bit too big for new born baby to come home in... so may need something a wee bit smaller for that but this is super cute and super soft. The colour above is out a little but the colour in the below pic is better... it's a very pretty blue, with Neonish green and Tigger of course!!! We love it.. think grandma might too!

Diaper bag, Loved it, thought it was very cute, very gender neutral.. (so Daddy can carry it too if need be).
Hooded towel and diaper change pad(nice soft one) and wash cloths to match..
Part of Daddy's first baby buy.... the socks are too cute.
T-shirt knit receiving blankets. I am going to make some flannel ones yet too but these will be so nice for wrapping baby up snug.
The one with the hat is the one I purchased just in case we were having a girl... and the second one is the second part of Daddy's first purchase. Too cute to pass up.
Diaper shirts.. think I should have gotten ones with the snaps down the front too but... will have a few of each. (Grandma's been shopping too)
Little nightie sleepers... good for kicking and changing diapers... Think I might like these.. but will see what happens...
And my cute, neutral outfit. Hat, bib, sleeper, footed pants and diaper shirt... very cute...
And that is about it... Grandma has shopped a bit more.... Lots of overalls and diaper shirts and a couple blankets and that.... LOL
As far as big stuff, A good friend gave us a playpen, Mom & Dad bought the stroller and we are going to borrow a crib (so far). We have the car seat picked just not ordered. So, we are getting there...

The 100 things I want to do....

Well, this morning I got up and checked email... while checking email I thought about all the things I want to get done.. and here they are.....

-laundry(started and just need to put some away and carry one changing loads)
-Dishes(water is run, just need to finish breakfast)
-Sort out yarn/fabric to rubbermaid's
-Sort out Christmas sewing
-Clean up the above mentioned room for baby
-Clean out my closet
-Restore order to my drop and run home
-Sort the baby stuff I have made
-Knit, crochet or sew some baby things....

There are a few more but that is about all I can think of at the moment....

Oh, Sorry you didn't get any finished pictures of the bins... I would have loved to have a pic of all the bins we did... but.... LOL.. they were disappearing as fast as we could put them up! Which is all good..but the yard did look some how empty by the time we left... all that work and nothing to show... LOL! Except the farmers had their bins and would be happier!

Home sweet Home...

Oh... Has been a very long haul.... But, we are finally home. It felt soooo good to sleep in my own bed last night(baby belly and all). I hate to have to go to the city tonight for a doctors appointment tomorrow morning.... but after that... Home til the next appointment. Ooh so nice. So, we got all the bins done.. finally. We do have 2 here around home just to pick up and toss on cones... they are small ones and if they are in good shape should take no time at all to toss up there... Then I think we are done, Done! At least until we get the itch to build next year... we will see how things go.

Anyways, good to be home and I will be trying to get things ready for baby... so, if any of you are interested might be some pics come through of this or that. I haven't been knitting or crocheting much.. my wrists are temperamental(one day I wake they aren't so bad, next day I need my hubby to do up and undo my bra!). So, I have a whole washcloth and a half knit to show for my whole summer.

How did the rest of you do for crafting through the summer? Now that it feels more fallish... at least around here... How was your summer? Did you spent it at the lake? Doing home reno's? Crafting quietly in a favorite spot? Gardening? How did your garden turn out?

I have yet to get into my garden.... sounds like out of my 12 cabbage I am getting 2 giant ones...onions need to be pulled.. I haven't looked but I think my acorn squash was too late into the ground... my corn fell over because the stocks were week... and I guess we shall see what the rest has done once we get out there.

Talk to you all later!

1 almost down....

Well, before the rain today...... we got... the bin lifted and about 3 of the 6 sheets hung. Then it was into the raincoat. Finished putting that ring on, tightened, put the bin on the cone. The bolts need tightened yet... as we stopped and went for lunch. Baby belly wasn't liking the tightness of the rain jacket around. So after lunch it was raining a bit harder.. so.. we quit thinking if it quit we would go back... it was a pissy wet icky day all day!!!!!! So, One to build yet! and 2 to put on a cone. Home is in site.. but probably not tomorrow... DAMMIT!!!!
Anyways... will catch you later.

4 to go.. and 2 go up today!!! (as long as the breeze holds)

Ahhh... getting so much closer to done!!! I am so tired. I will be glad to be done. Hubby will be very glad to be done too! Then he can get home and get to his crops! And we can get home and get some of that stuff done that we need to do to that room to put our baby in it!!!!

So, will show you pictures later still.. when we get home.. though I have no pictures of the last few bins we have built as they are disappearing about as fast as we can get them up.

Anyhow... will catch you all later!

One down, 24 to go!

Hey, This morning we managed to get a 18' diameter, 5 ring bin up. It is up and on the cone.... Hubby just needs to put the eye bolt in the back of the cone to tie up the rope.... and it's done. done. It feels so good to have that one done! I think it's encouraging, even though we have... hmmm 24 more of the same to go... but we are getting there!
Gotta run! Catch ya later!

So, you have been waiting for pictures eh????

Well, Hello again... long time no see.... hmmm that doesn't really fit... long time no chatter... on my part or yours I guess is more likely. I have an excuse though.... we have been away working and have not had a good Internet connection to be able to post up some stuff here...... even chatter is a trying thing on the wee bit of Internet I've seen. So, today I will bombard you with pictures.... LOL I hope you enjoy them... Let me know! I mean really... talk to me... that's why I have it so anyone can leave a comment... REALLY! So, this little guy above... not so little really. I took a picture to find out it was a gopher. From where I was standing he looked like a stump sticking up... and I knew there were no stumps in this yard!!!

Below is the first 2 bins we got up, in Outlook. If you look close you can see an extra window in the 3rd ring. This farmer wanted to be able to see if the bin was just full enough to cover the rocket air inside. You see the next ring doesn't have a roof yet either....
Then hubby went and built the whole bunch of 15 foot diameter roofs. Then we got to work and built them. I have to admit.... we were faster some days than others. We would put up 2 one day, 1 the next, then have a beautiful cool day and put up 3!!!! yes 3! then the next day we did 1, because my body said that was enough! So, bins are going up in bouts and spurts. But the 15ft diameter bins are all up now. On to the 18's... when we head back tomorrow.
Above is 4 bins across the south side of the yard. Below is the bins that go along the west side of the yard. We did have them in a better line than that, and there is one hiding behind the other 2 that are pulled out. We had to pull those 2 out because they were very unstable in the line. So, pulled them out to level them out so that it would take more to take them over.
This is what the South West corner of the yard looks like!
This is the 18 foot rows. This being the North west corner....
The North east corner. North being the sliver of hopper cones you can see.. on the left side of the picture. So, needless to say there is a damn good chunk of work to get done yet!
And here... the latest ultrasound pics.... very cool. Though I believe last times were much clearer on the the full baby body pics... but, I think baby was moving pretty good! Had a heart rate of 144.... so, it was up there...
Above is a full body but with a hand in front of the face.... the below one baby has both hand in front of the face I thinks.... Little boxer maybe? Or camera shy? :D
The next strip of 3 is really good... the top pic is the arm stretched out, the second is baby feet!!! so neat!, the bottom one is how baby is laying in the belly. Face down, you can see the spine really well. Baby is about 13oz. right now. And growing daily! :) I am getting excited... can you tell? Just a little maybe? :P

This was a really neat picnic table we saw at Dafoe. We wanted to go ask what they were asking for it but... the mosquito's were so bad I could roll down the window only long enough to take the pic... LOL Hubby went to look better but I was not getting out to get eaten alive!!! LOL
This is the first baby sweater I made. It's the rectangle pattern from the Better homes and gardens page. (Thank you Pauly) It turned out well.

And Last but not least.. remember those socks I told you about... The ones for my mom that were getting to be obscenely late for her birthday? I finished them.. they are in her hands now... so she can wear them on a chilly day or wait until fall when she will really need them! LOL I love the self striping yarn... it turned out beautiful!
Well that is about all that is exciting out there... at least for me.... I could ramble on more but... I will let you all absorb this first. How is that? LOL
Catch you all later!

:D :) :D :) (: O: (:

Hey yous,
Well, Had our first prenatal class on Monday. There were little things in it that were interesting... other things I had read about already. Did you know you can get tetness(spelling?) from working in the dirt? I thought it had to come from rusty metals... odd. Anyways.. good thing to know right? I think so... So, that was Mom and my Monday night.

Tuesday, Mom and I took off to Moose Jaw to see my sis! Not before we walked the dog though... and then we went and got the oil changed on the car then picked up my sis... Man!!! SHE LOOKS AWESOME!!! (she is shrinking in the good way!! Keep up the good work if your reading Sis!! LOVE YOU!!!) So we did some shopping in Moose Jaw, had lunch, iced tea at her place then at... hmmm almost 5 I would say, headed back to Regina... :) I laid down and put my feet up.. that was a lot of time on my feet!!!! (they are tender today.. but all good!!) I think the walking is good for me though... I found a bench here and there to park my ass on! LOL Just to rest my poor feet... I didn't swell up either so all is good.(I know some of you don't want to hear that but I know some of you really really do... so.. sorry for those who don't and your welcome to those that do!) So, spent the evening with my feet up.... all good!

Today, have some stuff to get done here in Regina. Hopefully get to see my sis and the boys here in town tonight.. see how her schedule goes though!

I made the 5 rectangle baby sweater from the Better homes and gardens website. Not sure I love it, but I do like it. I will be attempting a Diaper bag sweater next I thinks.... and maybe Dad's Christmas socks(while I feel like it). I am sorry no pics of the rectangle sweater.. I hope later though.... Long as I remember.

Hubby and I are going to ask what we are having now. I have gotten impatient. And he is a planner. SO, in 2 weeks if they can tell us... we shall know :) all good!!! In other baby news... I think I am starting to feel some kicks and such! Kinda neat... sometimes I am not sure if it's belly bubbles or baby, though other times it feels kinda definitive of not being belly bubbles.

Well, will talk to you all later! Love ya much!

Baby Belly

OK, some asked... elsewhere.. and just in case you wanna see it. Here is my 4 and a bit month baby belly. Remember, there was a round bit of jelly belly there before... so it's not all baby! At least not yet!!! LOL still have a long way to go!!!

Outlook, Garden, Flowers... and that kinda stuff... LOL

Well, we are in Outlook now building bins. I guess I should really say, Hubby is building bins... I am doing very little. The heat just kills me. We have a little bunny friend at the yard.. comes over to visit almost everyday.

This is how the garden is coming. Looks good... for the most part. A couple things are kind of week but, could be that it isn't a good year for them or that they take longer to come along. We shall see how it goes.
This is the field of Daisies that were out in front of the house..... somebody mowed them down.....but he didn't like them so... and the weeds were in underneath.

My painted mums came back to bloom another year... very happy it seems so many blooms! Mind you I missed when they were new and fresh so you get a picture of them looking a little wilty and tired.
These are in the flower bed too.... I don't know if they are painted mums or daisies or what... but they are pretty peaking out!
Evil Chives! See them! They look so good and great and grow wonderful.. trouble is they grow way too well!!!! they have spread all over!! They are just crazy!!So that it. All I have for pics right now... I suppose I could have taken pics of the yard in outlook...but it would be kind of boring as all that is there is hopper cones with bin packages in front of them.... maybe next time. OH AND! I forgot to take pics of the socks! I finished them.. but will take a pic and show you next time.
Anybody know where THE WEST COAST DIVA went? Her blog is down and I miss her. :( Let me know if you find her.
As for me, 4 months and a wee bit gone... 5 and a bit to go. I am glad our summers are shorter.. I know I know! How dare I say that.. but even the fall temps of mid twenties(Celsius) would be much nicer. I know I know... cool temps will be here soon enough! But I am cooking! Glad I broke down and bought a swimsuit... LOL and no, no pics of that! Maybe a pic of me later.... if it turns out okish. I had family/friends on Face book request a updated pic... apparently a 3 year old wedding pic is out of date... ROTFL Oh well.
Anyways, beyond the lack of heat tolerance all is good! Catch you all later!

Baby Robins... Bins....

Hey, Have some more babies for you to see. Remember the nest pics with the eggs... here are the babies that came from that!

On other exciting news.... We finished Tugaske's Bins. Now we are off and running to Outlook. I really should say that Hubby and his dad finished Tugaske's bins. I was a little under the weather and they took off and did 4 bins one day, 2 bins the next between rains... skipped a day and did 5 bins.. mind you the roof on these bins were done complete already. Just sidewall and mounting to finish them... but they sure were speedy about it! Feels good to be done those ones... will feel even better when we are done the Outlook bins! :)
Anyhow, I have things to get done.. so off and running... will catch you all later.

Doctor's and ultrasounds.....

Hey,
I went to the doctor on Tuesday. All is going well. She said to keep up the good work with the baby growing. So all is right on track.

Yesterday, I went for an ultrasound. That was great! The technician was wonderful!!!!! She showed me arms, legs, spine, face, heartbeat, and much more. The little one wasn't being very co-operative though... LOL jumping around in there... what usually takes about 1/2hour took more like a full hour... though I can't say I will complain about the extra time seeing baby!!! So cool they have this technology now... MOM was super excited to see!!! I have pics for hubby who was working on the farm and at home and couldn't get away. Dad is very excited to see pics too... according to mom who said he sounded excited to see! When I get home I will scan the pics and show you all... they are neat... not the clearest.. but still super neat!!! better than nothing!!! Which is what they used to get!

OK. After the ultrasound we went to see my auntie to show her the pics. And see her new flooring... beautiful flooring in her house.... anyways... while we were having tea she told us about a used baby stuffs store right by her place... so we went over after tea to take a look. I bought a couple of those nighty sleepers and some nice diaper type shirts... will show you again when I get home. We went to Costco and had a hot dog for supper.... I know not the healthiest but I had been craving one for over a week... so there I had one.. then we went to Winner's and I bought a sleeper set that had the sleeper, the diaper shirt, a pair of footed pants, hat, burp cloth and a bib! Too cute in the sweetest green!!!

So that is my excitement.... I know... Baby nuts.... Will have socks(mom's socks) to show you soon too I hope!!! Then I will be knitting some baby stuffs... I hope!!! LOL

Talk to you all again soon!!!!

Happy News and Great fun...

Hi's,
Well... Let's start with happy news.... Hubby and I are extending the family. Our new arrival is due Dec. 7 - 10 ish. My dad is saying baby will be here in November though... Just because My sis and I were both early... we shall see.... Been so busy with doc appoints and work and and and... I am surprised I remember where I live... LOL It's all good though. :D

Now.. great fun!!! Went off to the Sask. Stitches Conference for the weekend! Had Classes on knitting from Lily Chin. Was great to meet Lily and visit with her. The weekend was very fun too!!! Mind you the classroom we were in was very warm!!! First day we sat in the middle and it was too warm... second day we sat at the back in front of the fan!!!! Good move.. as I think I wouldn't have made it through the day otherwise. :)

Anyhow... that beyond work is about all that is going on.....
Guess I will catchya later!!!
