Update with pictures and funnies...

This is a pic of the bin yard... as it stood... Friday? Since then, some cones have been moved some bin packages dropped in front, and some rings built from those packages. But this is a lovely shot.

The Gopher hole:

This is not the hole I fell in. Lets be clear, this one you can see... a long ways away!!! The one I fell in I did not see. The wind was blowing some. I was chasing the bin while James chased the bin to hang the sheet(only about a hundred and eighteen ish pounds to chase the bin with for James). Bolts in hand ready to get the sheet bolted on...I saw the first gopher hole, missed the one that got me... All I can think now is it must have been hilarious and I would have loved to see me fall... I hooked my foot in the hole(hands full of bolts) thought I could catch myself... missed catching myself envisioned face plant, let all the bolts fly out of my hands, then proceeded to fall on my hands and knees in the dirt.. saving my face! Too funny... James hears nothing... wonders what the hell... dropped the sheet... and came over to save me...(well help me up the damage was done). Now I did not find this funny at the time.. but can barely hold myself together thinking about it now... too funny!

Other funnies as promised:

When you stay in a motel long enough, you hear funny funny funny things from the other guests. Now not everyone would find it all that funny.. and maybe for some of it you had to be here and see them or hear it yourself... but I thought you all may find some of it funny!(These folks are from Alberta and Ontario, and are here to put in a big pipeline) Gawd knows what they have heard from us and laughed their asses off at...

Gopher(adds to the humour of the fall in the hole... as the fall in the hole happened after this and the running joke between James and I is that, that gopher thought he would eat for a long time!!!):

Our neighbor lady in the motel likes to keep the door open and let the air into her suite. I don't blame her. But, the one day she got an unexpected visitor. A gopher wandered into her room. The cleaning girls were called in to chase it out with a hockey stick and some good old animal coaxing. So now the neighbor has a piece of plastic cardboard up in the doorway so that she can keep the airflow... no gophers.... The girl who was reminded to fetch that piece of plastic cardboard said, "yes I'll remember that. Can't have the gophers getting in and nibbling on you" ROTFLMAO Only them damn Saskatchewan gophers do that!!!

Beer:

One Day Mr.B was offering a friend a beer. Friend goes to get beer from fridge. None there. Mr. B says "there must be a couple in the freezer". No, no beer in the freezer. Mr. B says "Mrs. must have had one" Next you hear... Mrs.B " I...... DID....... NOT...... TOUCH...... YOUR...... BEER....."

Where are you?:

This day they are cleaning out the truck. We hear Mrs.B "Where are you?!?!?" then Mr. B "I'm right here." Pause. Mr.B "Where the F*CK, would I go?!?!?!?"

Ok, this is pipeline guys but, one room over yet....

Saskatchewan wind:

We have the window open. And it is very windy. We hear a guy talking to another. "The F*ckin' wind. I piled all the dirt on one side of the hole!! Your not supposed to, because then equipment gets stuck. But the f*ckin' wind was too strong to pile on each side. So I piled it all on one side." Then in a oblivious to Saskatchewan weather way totally shocked he says. "Then the F*ckin' wind changed direction!!!! it changed f*ckin' Direction!!!! so it blew the dirt back in the hole... and the equipment getting stuck!!!" I never in my life wanted so bad to open the door and say "Welcome to Saskatchewan, if you don't like the weather or the direction of the wind wait 5 minutes!!! It will change."

Sunday Morning:

Well here we are again, one Sunday morning I was on the couch feeding baby. We had the window open. Mr.B from the room next door is in the truck on the phone making calls. I am assuming so as not to disturb Mrs.B on a Sunday morning.... next thing I know this man is out of the truck and I am wondering what he is dumping beside his front tire as I can hear the trickle..... OH my! the breeze brings in the waft of pee... OH! Not dumping something... peeing!!! You would think we were staying in Tugaske Hotel on a Friday night. (what the hell is it that makes grown men/boys, go outside instead of using a perfectly good washroom inside?) Was disturbing Mrs.B on a Sunday a.m. going to be that bad???? Oh my!!!

Ah well, that's my funnies.... and all that....

Wow, I can't believe it's been this long since I updated! Sorry all. Been busy. We have 16 of the I don't even know any more, bins done... Just over a quarter done, I guess 17 just needs a cone. So... 17 of 60 are done.

Bins, Babies and Bobbing Houses

Well... We went to Regina to do some things. It was quite the trip. I mean.. a usually 2 hour ish drive took 3. We followed these 2 houses down 15 hwy. I thought if they didn't turn off at 219, that I would and take 44 across then to the main hwy 11. Well.. I got screwed.. one went south and one kept going...... either way I would gain nothing! As you can see from the pics they took the whole road, and no, there was not a single spot they could pull over safely to let us by(us and the impatient 3 or 4 that passed me, as I wondered where the hell they thought they could go).
This is the view we had across hwy 15 from Outlook to Hwy 11 at Kenaston.
We made it to Regina all good. Next day, shopping and exchange a shock. Well... the shopping was good ish. The exchanging the truck shock.... well that was sh*!, at least until a wonderful lady took over and worked it all out with us. But what a freaking headache! When, have you ever had a shock go on your vehicle when you were at home and able to find the receipt to exchange it? Anyways, did that. dealt with it. done.

James has been busy at the bin yard. I have had some time there... should have more but, one has to break in a baby and an auntie :) Can't just up and leave them. Gwyn had to get to know that Mommy would come back. Now she does much better, than when we first started. This one is a pic of the yard. You can see how organized it is! See his beautiful double row of 18' cones with the rockets in? See the 15' roofs? the 15'cones in the block to wait until the rows are ready! The stack of vents in front of the shed!!! OOH that was lots of work!! Very organized yard. Love it. (he took this pic from the top of a bin at the front of the yard)

This is a pic of Gwyn I got while fooling around with my video cam. I love the pic... think it is beautiful.. so neat with her toys in the background like that!!! Too bad the pic doesn't have better quality.. I would get a bigger size printed!!!

My New do

Well, I finally was able to get in for a haircut today. I had been itching to get one for awhile.. and started looking for an appointment last week... When I called yesterday they had an appointment cancel for this morning so I jumped on it! Love the new cut. Really nice gal who cut it too. OOH and of course this first pic is so you can see my sweet sweet girls teeth...never mind mine... LOL Enjoy the pics.

Still no crafting content.... Still been way busy with my little angel. I am hoping though to get into my garden.. right after this posting... and see if I can finish planting it!!! James my sweetest started it. He got the potato, Dill, and Kohlrabi (green and purple). I helped and we planted... half a row of beets, couple hills of spaghetti squash, acorn squash and zucchini. I really want to get out there and finish planting the cucumber, carrots, peas and maybe some spinach and chard for good measure... we will see where we get to. My girl who was down for a nap.... did not snoozy at all.. and instead is up and busy as ever, so, hopefully auntie and she will have a good play while I go dig in the dirt....

Did I mention that the tooth we thought was one.. was 2? and I think she is working on more now...

Can't believe it!

My girl has her first tooth. Yes, it has poked through. It's on the bottom left... or right.. have to double check and write it in her baby book!!

My girl is sleeping in her crib. She took the transition better than her momma and daddy did. We spent that first night sleeping like crap!! She slept from 10 til 1, then had to move her a little and back out like a light... slept til 4 or 6, fed her, back to bed until 8!!! What would be better? Oh She is an awesome little girl!!! I am SO very very proud of her!!!

If you had told me,

If someone told me when I was 25, that I would be 32(very very close to 33), sitting in Outlook with my 5 3/4 month old baby while my husband started building the bins we would finish together in June. I would have told them they were crazy. I may have told them I wasn't having any children..... I may have even told them I was never getting married. But to think, here I am, in a motel suite, looking after my daughter, thinking about my wonderful husband......and realizing how lucky I am, Blessed even.. to have such a beautiful daughter and a loving(though smart arsed)husband that I love to bits. I mean... I could just as easily had some other life. I really almost never did meet my James... He was another long distance relationship... that I never wanted to do again. But we met as friends... well.. one look at him and friends only, was done with. Dumped the sorry ass SOB I was sorta seeing at the time... and the rest is history. Here I sit, plans of more babies. Bins to build. A house to build and make a home(at some near point I hope, but time will tell). Things are good. And yes.. I may spend my very first mothers day(this Sunday) in a motel looking after my girl and my man... but what would be better?

Hectic?

Well... lets see. Went home for a quick spurt. Left on, Friday, I think. We drove Friday. Saturday was laundry. Sunday was a trip to the farm to see mom and dad. Monday we were off to Yorkton(taxes yeah....). Tuesday we were supposed to head back here in the afternoon.... I had to much to get sorted out yet.. dishes to do, things to sort. So, we didn't leave until Wednesday. Even then it was later in the day than intended.. but man we were tired and slept in a wee bit... then had to load the van and do all that stuff. So, was a longish drive back but we made it. The weather has not cooperated since we have been back. Between the wind and the chilly weather.. not much done. We are both a little addicted to Farm Town on Face book. I will say though that James is more so... he has the bigger farm and the higher level and all that good stuff. LOL Which is really cool.. he gets to get all the good stuff :) Well.. since the update.. he has something to work for! Anyways, Back in Outlook. Doing good. Gwyn started a little wee bit of Rice cereal now.... she loves it! She really likes this eating thing. Other than that things are pretty darn quiet.

The Saucer....

Hey all, I just want to say... I am sorry to all those blogs I have not visited in... forever! I have been busy. We have been here there and every wheres.... Got sucked into a new game... or 2 on Face book.. Oh my... yes... time suckers!!!
Anyways, Here are pics of my girl in her saucer. She is loving it. Though she doesn't bounce in it. She sits and plays.. happily. She had that big round thing that looks like a Lolly in her hand and pulled toward her licking it like one would a Lolly... it was hilarious!

April is here....

Can you believe it? I couldn't believe on the 23rd of March that my girl was 4months old.. now she is 4mo. plus!!! She is too cute... the little brown and pink outfit was yesterdays(the camera date is out... fixed today though)... the overalls.. were a trial outfit, they are so close to fitting... and very cute!

Catchya later... my girl needs a bath... as far as she is concerned.. it's a swim! And she loves it!
