Feeling Cranky and a bit miserable......

Yes, I know, It's terrible.  I hate it. I hate me for it. I just feel lacking in patience, tolerance and anything else that one would think was good.  I have good moments... but they only seem moments.  Why? I am feeling frustrated, aggravated, maybe even a bit hopeless.  And that is probably where most my trouble is.  All this frucking rain. Water in the basement. No crop in the fields. More rain in the forecast. Yup, hard to look up.  Well... my little G. angel that she is has been peeing in her little potty.  Proud of her for that. But then, there are these Dvd's in cases, taking up my counter, and my second sink. Drying out.  Or at least trying to dry them out. Every time I have to cook something or try to wash dishes.... It just gets me again. I don't know if I am strong enough to do this. I hope so, for my G's sake. But am feeling pretty damn hopeless and alone right now....  That's how my mood circles. Feelin' like sh/t. Don't worry bout me though... I'll get through it...

Rain, Rain, Rain, Fruckin' Rain

You know... I really hate complaining about the weather. There is not a damn thing we can do about it. But! I am sure fed up with this rain. It needs to fuck off. We need to get some crops in the ground. Who is going to pay the bills? Fuckin' Rain.

Ok. Now I hope I am done with that. I am just home from 2 weeks in the city. Yes, 2 weeks. I know I didn't get to visiting a whole lot of people I always want to see. There just seems to be something sucking time out of the air!

We had a doctor appointment. We also had 18mo. Immunizations (3 needles). She is a trouper. She is such a good little girl. Wasn't too hard on the doctor, or the nurse giving the imm. either to be truthful. She is long and lean and perfect! Course... that is her momma talking.

She has now said "Mommy, Dadday, Gramma, Grandad and Grandpa" Not necessarily clear as day but clear enough we know what she said. Now just some other words. She understands everything though.... so... she might talk in sentences... LOL or paragraphs the way she chatters on.

She got to play in her sandbox (can be seen in the pic of the rain above, little orange fish one) we brought home from the city for a few this afternoon. Had a swing in her swing, a ride on her bike. That is after we drove home from Regina, and had lunch. She now sleeps... my little princess.

So, what else have I to tell you? I went and got my first pedicure/manicure. Wow it's great to feel my heels again. and I love the nail polish colour!!! On me at least. I very much enjoyed going with my sister for that!!! Thank you!!!

I forgot everything else I wanted to say.. will have to come back later.... Catch ya later!!

Ok. I remembered... I love Pelican products for kids!!! I have that really cool polar bear toboggan for G. And her Little sandbox is now a Pelican product too.. it's a hand me down and is missing it's plugs(it can be a pool too!). So I emailed Pelican Sports and they emailed back in 15 minutes!!! WOW!!! Anyways, their stuff is really cool... and I will keep you posted on how the plug getting goes!! Might need them to keep the water out........

Where does the time go?

Here it is.. in a nutshell....currently the time goes to chasing a toddler. Plain and simple. No time for me, no time for the blog... just chase! It's good though. I like that she is active and not a slouch. She is beautiful and busy. Smart. Adventurous..... daring.... hm mm... makes the chase, interesting to say the least.

She climbed a six foot step ladder the other day. Climbs the slide on her swing set like it was designed for her, not the older kids it was intended for. She climbed up the rocking chair tonight... and right up on the back, knocking it into my chair. Thank goodness I was at the computer checking email at the time because that chair came over on my lap instead of all the way to the floor.. saving her a heck of a thump.

Busy busy busy.. :)

Feeling some happier. WE had a great day today! Went to Wynyard. Had coffee with a good friend. Got rid of a Pony(gaining 4 square feet of floor in the kitchen). Dropped off Ice Tups in Wadena on the way to Wynyard, making more room in the house.... Now just to, list and sell some more stuff to get it the heck out..... What else can I tell you? Not a whole lot I guess.... So I am off and running.. maybe have a shower.. and some sleep b4 morning.. LOL

Kicking and screaming!!

Ok, for the potty training.. we made one day.. after that. She isn't so eager to sit on her potty every trip J or I make to the washroom. Which.. I am not sure.. will we have good days and bad or did she just want to sit on her potty more.. and after she can wait now or what.. don't know. Ah well.. tomorrow is a new day. She did get a diaper rash from something... that may have caused it.

As for kicking and screaming! I took Gwyn outside. We walked around the block. All the way around the front way. Stopping to doodle here and there. Then we came home and I got out the stroller. We walked all the way around town.. we walked north out the ally, then west and to the end of the block north up 2 blocks then east back to main street.. then we wandered up the sidewalk toward the Co-Op, then east along railway ave all the way to the entrance of town, then west down the gravel all the way back to Main street and back home.

In our travels we met a rather... unhappy white dog.. barked and followed us for a good half a block. I am afraid that the town office will be hearing about it, unfortunately. I believe you should tie up your dogs if you are not in attendance or the dog is out of sight. Or have the dog fenced so it doesn't scare those of us who are going for a walk on public property.

While Gwyn and I were walking around the block she saw her first helicopter!! She was taken but a little scared by the noise as it flew overhead.

So after all that I brought her inside.. to listen to her cry and carry on, because she wants to go back out. So, dressed her up, took her out.. and she proceeded to fall on her bottom in the cold wet mud puddle... LOL So I brought her in and changed her.. LOL Now she is happily playing about the house.

Potty Training Begins

Well today we have had a tremendous start to potty training! She has peed in her potty 3 times. She did dribble in her diaper but we were outside and she did make that she wanted to go in.. so maybe.. she was trying? She has been sitting on the potty in the mornings when we get up. It's been a hit and miss with going in the potty.. but I also sometimes am slow to get out of bed.. so it is probably me... The other day she whipped her diaper off and peed on my carpet.. which is why we are potty training now...I think that is a clear signal to start. So, we are now on the potty training!

Anyway... off to do some stuff... and change a pooper dooper diaper.. anyone volunteering? I hope she will poop in the potty soon.. mind you I don't know if I want to clean that up!!! LOL

Long day in Yorkton....

Well, we had a wonderful. But long, day in Yorkton today. We had some things to pick up. A lot of running always in the city. And it does not matter which one or when... LOL

The last few days have been absolutely beautiful out! Little G and I have spent some good hours outside. We climb through the snow or splash in the puddles. I took her on her toboggan the other day uptown.. that was a mistake.. muddy mittens and muddy jacket followed.. so, Tuesday we got out the stroller!! Much nicer.. not so muddy!!! And yes we got down and tromped around in the puddles and such after the stroller ride! It's hard to bring her in .... she cries.. doesn't want to be inside.... even when she is cold or tired.

Well.. That is about all I have to say right now... I know it isn't much.. but.. OH! We almost have a shed! A big shed! Hooray!! :) Now that is all I have to say! LOL

Wow! Happy Birthday to all you birthday haver's today. Halo is having her first birthday!! Gwyn and I are attending her birthday party this afternoon..... Diane is having a birthday, Tricia and Mel.... Wow! So, I hope its a wonderful day for all those birthday haver's!

Well. We had a nice quiet weekend. Monday I headed out to see Trics from By the hills for a visit. I just realized she hasn't blogged for 11 months! Wow!

We had a good visit. Gwyn emptied her plastics cupboard... LOL and we had tea. I traveled down gravel to visit.. made it just over an hour to see her! Was great! Though I must say.. I will not be taking Highway 310 any time soon again! What a sh**hole!!! It's worse than a bad gravel road.. and by bad I mean rough. So on the way back I did all gravel.. much nicer.

Anyways.. got to run.. things are quiet around here today too...

Grandma and Grandpa brought Gwyn some beautiful cloths. As per usual grandma has picked out some beautiful pieces. Thank you Grandma. Anyways, this sweater was among them, a valentines sweater for our Gwyn. :) It is very pretty on her.
Grandma and Gwyn were watching daddy and grandpa working on our shed. They got 4 walls up. Not completely plywood but looking good! We have some great progress!!!

Visit with Mom and Dad

Well, Friday night I got a call from Mom. Could they come for a visit? Of course they can!! So, they arrived hmm 2pm ish on Saturday. We had a great visit. Gwyn loves to see her grandma and grandpa. Their visit is always far to short. They left today Sunday at 4pm. I guess 26hrs is kinda short when you think you sleep for a good 8 or so of them. But was very nice to have them out for a visit. Gwyn loved playing with her grand's. She was sad to see them go, as was I. I just wish for 3 day weekends for them to come visit.. but you have to take what you can get! LOL We will go visit sometime later this month and stay a few days.. usually a week. I have some things I want to pick up at Costco. I also would love to take Gwyn to the pool in the city. She loves the bath so much, I bet she would love the pool! Can't imagine trying to get her out of it though.. LOL Dad and James got all the walls standing on the shed. Wow it looks big.... Which is good because we have a lot of crap to store. LOL I know that sounds bad to call it crap.. but it's the stuff you can't get rid of because you need it, but you have to store it because you don't need it every day!!! How do we accumulate so much of it is what I would like to know... LOL Anyways. That is all for me to night... I have a load of laundry to change then I am off to bed.. will hunt down some pictures and what not tomorrow for you all... Maybe...

Snow, snow, snow and more snow....

Do we really need more snow? It was very nice to get that big dump of snow last week... by nice I mean the farmer's fields really really needed it. Nothing like the earth sticking out of the snow.. so now it's covered. But today.. we are getting more snow. Not that I am complaining. It's beautiful.. but I thought we had enough.. LOL

Anyways, 2 Big things. Gwyn is sitting up to the table in her chair. Loves it. And, she is down on her mattress for naps. We had to take the mattress out of the crib and put it on the floor. I think she may have some claustrophobia. Does not like to be confined/restrained. Now she will nap on the mattress... we are working on overnights too.. Last night she made it until... midnight.... the night before was better she made it all the way to 2am. But, headed in the right direction!

Well, that's about all.. I quit farming on face book..... thank gawd.. it was time... so now I have time to blog again.. I hope.. and maybe will get to do some sewing.. want to sew some bibs for Gwyn before all my tea towels are stained!!! Nice when she goes down for a nap!!!

Happy New Year!!!... hmm only a little late?

Well here we are in the new year. My girl is growing and almost 14 months old. For those of you with math trouble thats a year and 2 months on the 23rd. She is a very active little toddler. Cute, sweet and full of exoploration. Over Christmas she shocked her Grandpa K. with her ability to pick up a very heavy tape measure with one hand, and also her ability to pick up a 20oz. Stanley hammer. Now at home she has become very daring in her climbing. First she climbed in the chair that lost its base. Then she climbed on the footstool to my glider rocker. Then instead of mounting her pony and sitting on it(she likes to get on from either side or the back) she decided she could stand on it. And we figured it was to get to the couch. Now the pony sits in the middle of the kitchen.. and she still stands on it! See picture below. Now, she doesn't like to wear her own socks. She pulls them off right away.. but apparently Mom's socks are way better!!!

Not much happening round here....just keeping from freezin'

Hey, Oh I know.. has been forever since my last post. Sorry. Little Gwyn keeps things very busy! She got her 1yr vaccinations, and her flu shots... and good gawd, I wouldn't want to be her... 7 needles in 30 days! OUCH! Still better than the nasty things they prevent.. but a lot for a one year old. At least I think so. But again, better than what they prevent. She was down with a fever for a couple days, though has now sprung right back! I have toys scattered all over the house.. and currently she is working on bringing me all the blankets and wash cloths she can get her little hands on... so, needless to say she is very very busy and that is why you don't get to see a whole lot of me...

Am I nuts or did she do it?

Well..this morning... I am now wondering if I'm nuts, or if Gwyn actually did it. After her bath I was gathering the garbage(garbage day), and she followed me into the bathroom and was at her potty. So I put her on it and told her when she pees and poo bears in it all the time, then she won't need diapers.

So, later, James has gone to the farm.... she wakes from her nap, crawls all the way to the bathroom and is banging on the door. I figure she is looking for her daddy so walk over there and tell her he went to the farm and she should come back to the living room.... not 5 minutes later she comes crawling into the living room and right to me, wanting up and smelling like a poop!! Yes, she had a poo bear.

Was she now trying to tell me she had to go when she was banging on the bathroom door... and I didn't catch on? She hasn't words yet... but thinking I may have started something.... Am I nuts or did she really ask to go potty?

The funniest damn things...

Well.. LOL Gwyn has had a cold. She is getting better but you know.. so anyways. Daddy picks her up and she needs her nose wiped. So, he gets her to grab a kleenex from the box and then he brings her with the kleenex in hand to me to have her nose wiped. So, I do... then off they go. I am talking to a friend on FB. I turn around to see what Gwyn is up to... She is pulling kleenex out of the box.. one at a time.. I said "Hey! What are you doing???" and she starts pulling them faster!!! so I grab the kleenex laughing my ass off!!! I wish I had that on camera!!! LOL

Way too funny!!!

On the crafting note. When mom and dad were here I casted on a toque for Gwyn. I have put maybe 3 rows on it since they left.. so maybe 10 rows. Maybe I will have it done for the next one??? LOL

August.... wow.... We managed to finish those bins.... yes. finished them. Home now.. have been for a couple weeks. I had a week in the city. Growing like a weed...

Well... She is growing like a weed. I hope we get home before she has nothing to wear... the cloths that fit are becoming fewer and the suitcase I have been putting the too small cloths in is getting fuller.... oh my! She can wear 6month shorts, 12 month pants are wee bit long, 18 month tops are perfect for length and head hole. 12 month onsies are done.. too short in the body. Some of her 12 month sleepers are done too... but I did manage to find 1 pretty purple and grey lamb set of Jammie's in 18 mo.. and a one piece Jammie with no feet... mind you they still need washed before she can wear them... but that is how it goes. Growing like a weed.....healthy!! Good stuff!!!

I was in the pub yesterday when I suddenly realized I desperately needed to fart. The music was really, really loud, so I timed my farts with the beat. After a couple of songs, I started to feel better. I finished my pint and noticed that everybody was staring at me. Then I suddenly remembered that I was listening to my iPod.

This is a pic of the bin yard... as it stood... Friday? Since then, some cones have been moved some bin packages dropped in front, and some rings built from those packages. But this is a lovely shot.

The Gopher hole:

This is not the hole I fell in. Lets be clear, this one you can see... a long ways away!!! The one I fell in I did not see. The wind was blowing some. I was chasing the bin while James chased the bin to hang the sheet(only about a hundred and eighteen ish pounds to chase the bin with for James). Bolts in hand ready to get the sheet bolted on...I saw the first gopher hole, missed the one that got me... All I can think now is it must have been hilarious and I would have loved to see me fall... I hooked my foot in the hole(hands full of bolts) thought I could catch myself... missed catching myself envisioned face plant, let all the bolts fly out of my hands, then proceeded to fall on my hands and knees in the dirt.. saving my face! Too funny... James hears nothing... wonders what the hell... dropped the sheet... and came over to save me...(well help me up the damage was done). Now I did not find this funny at the time.. but can barely hold myself together thinking about it now... too funny!

When you stay in a motel long enough, you hear funny funny funny things from the other guests. Now not everyone would find it all that funny.. and maybe for some of it you had to be here and see them or hear it yourself... but I thought you all may find some of it funny!(These folks are from Alberta and Ontario, and are here to put in a big pipeline) Gawd knows what they have heard from us and laughed their asses off at...

Gopher(adds to the humour of the fall in the hole... as the fall in the hole happened after this and the running joke between James and I is that, that gopher thought he would eat for a long time!!!):

Our neighbor lady in the motel likes to keep the door open and let the air into her suite. I don't blame her. But, the one day she got an unexpected visitor. A gopher wandered into her room. The cleaning girls were called in to chase it out with a hockey stick and some good old animal coaxing. So now the neighbor has a piece of plastic cardboard up in the doorway so that she can keep the airflow... no gophers.... The girl who was reminded to fetch that piece of plastic cardboard said, "yes I'll remember that. Can't have the gophers getting in and nibbling on you" ROTFLMAO Only them damn Saskatchewan gophers do that!!!

Beer:

One Day Mr.B was offering a friend a beer. Friend goes to get beer from fridge. None there. Mr. B says "there must be a couple in the freezer". No, no beer in the freezer. Mr. B says "Mrs. must have had one" Next you hear... Mrs.B " I...... DID....... NOT...... TOUCH...... YOUR...... BEER....."

Where are you?:

This day they are cleaning out the truck. We hear Mrs.B "Where are you?!?!?" then Mr. B "I'm right here." Pause. Mr.B "Where the F*CK, would I go?!?!?!?"

Ok, this is pipeline guys but, one room over yet....

Saskatchewan wind:

We have the window open. And it is very windy. We hear a guy talking to another. "The F*ckin' wind. I piled all the dirt on one side of the hole!! Your not supposed to, because then equipment gets stuck. But the f*ckin' wind was too strong to pile on each side. So I piled it all on one side." Then in a oblivious to Saskatchewan weather way totally shocked he says. "Then the F*ckin' wind changed direction!!!! it changed f*ckin' Direction!!!! so it blew the dirt back in the hole... and the equipment getting stuck!!!" I never in my life wanted so bad to open the door and say "Welcome to Saskatchewan, if you don't like the weather or the direction of the wind wait 5 minutes!!! It will change."

Sunday Morning:

Well here we are again, one Sunday morning I was on the couch feeding baby. We had the window open. Mr.B from the room next door is in the truck on the phone making calls. I am assuming so as not to disturb Mrs.B on a Sunday morning.... next thing I know this man is out of the truck and I am wondering what he is dumping beside his front tire as I can hear the trickle..... OH my! the breeze brings in the waft of pee... OH! Not dumping something... peeing!!! You would think we were staying in Tugaske Hotel on a Friday night. (what the hell is it that makes grown men/boys, go outside instead of using a perfectly good washroom inside?) Was disturbing Mrs.B on a Sunday a.m. going to be that bad???? Oh my!!!

Ah well, that's my funnies.... and all that....

Wow, I can't believe it's been this long since I updated! Sorry all. Been busy. We have 16 of the I don't even know any more, bins done... Just over a quarter done, I guess 17 just needs a cone. So... 17 of 60 are done.
